Clarity that drives informed decisions.

Bookkeeping tells you what happened. CFO work is about what happens next — the difference between reacting to your bank balance and steering by it.

For nonprofits

Annual budget construction, program-level cost analysis so you know what each program actually costs to run, cash flow planning around grant timing, and reserve policy. Board and finance committee support when the questions get harder than the monthly statements can answer.

For businesses

Cash flow forecasting so you see the squeeze eight weeks out instead of the morning payroll clears. Pricing and margin analysis. Budget-to-actual review so variances get caught in the month they happen. And the modeling behind decisions that keep owners awake: whether you can afford the hire, whether the loan makes sense, whether the second location earns its cost of capital.

Real estate and development

Project financing, capital structure, and development pro formas are territory this firm knows from operating experience, not just from the textbook. If you are financing a property or a development project, that is a conversation worth having before the terms are set.

Fractional, not full-time

A full-time CFO is a six-figure hire that most organizations under $20M cannot justify and do not need. A few hours a month of the same thinking, aimed at the specific decisions in front of you, gets most of the value at a fraction of the cost.

The independence consequence

This work makes us part of your management function, which means we cannot also serve as your independent auditor for that period. Where an audit is required, we keep you audit-ready and refer it out.

Questions

Common questions

How is this different from tax planning?
Tax planning minimizes what you owe. CFO work grows what you make and keeps you solvent while doing it. They overlap but answer different questions.
Do we need this yet?
Probably not if you are small with simple operations. It starts earning its fee when payroll is meaningful, cash timing is tight, or a real decision is pending.
Can you do this without doing our bookkeeping?
Yes, provided the books are reliable and we can get access. If they are not, the first engagement is cleanup.
Does this rule out an audit from you?
For the same period, yes — and that is the correct answer, not a limitation. We will refer the audit to an independent firm.

Let's talk about where you are.
