Monthly accounting
Books closed on schedule, accounts reconciled, and statements you can actually read — plus the payroll and compliance filings that quietly generate penalties.

Bookkeeping plus advisory, tailored to your needs.
A closed set of books and three statements every month, plus a plain-English note on anything unusual. Bookkeeping only helps if it happens on a schedule — books touched once a quarter tell you what happened far too late to act on.
Cleanup comes first
If you are behind — three months or three years — that is where we start. Cleanup is quoted separately as a one-time project, typically $500 to $1,500 for a QuickBooks file, so you are not paying a monthly fee to fix history. Multi-year catch-up is scoped after a look.
Payroll and compliance filings
Payroll tax is not your money, and the authorities treat it accordingly. Quarterly 941s, state withholding and unemployment, year-end W-2s and 1099-NECs, and new-state registrations before the first paycheck are handled inside the monthly engagement. Misclassifying a contractor who looks like an employee is the most expensive mistake in this category — ask before the quarter closes rather than after a notice arrives.
What we need from you
Read-only bank and card access or statements, access to your payment processor and payroll provider, and copies of loan documents and asset purchases. After the first month it is mostly answering a handful of questions about transactions we could not identify — about ten minutes for most clients.
Where this ends and CFO work begins
Monthly accounting tells you what happened. Forecasting, pricing analysis, and board-ready projections look forward, and those sit under CFO consulting. Many clients add them later; nobody needs them on day one.
