Accuracy today. Opportunity tomorrow.

A return records decisions already made — but preparing it well surfaces the decisions still ahead. Every return ends with a short list of what to do differently next year.

Form 990 for nonprofits

The 990 is a public document. Donors read it, funders read it, and charity watchdogs score organizations on it. It deserves more care than a compliance checkbox — program expense allocation, governance disclosures, and compensation reporting all shape how your organization looks to the people deciding whether to fund it. Fees run $900 to $2,500 depending on which schedules apply.

Business and personal, prepared together

For most owners the business return and the personal return are one problem wearing two hats. A K-1 from the partnership lands on the 1040; an S-corp salary decision changes both. They get prepared as a set rather than as two disconnected filings.

Entity types we file

Individual returns and schedules, partnerships and multi-member LLCs, S-corporations, C-corporations, exempt organizations, and the state and local returns that go with them. Multi-state filings are handled where you have nexus in more than one state.

Extensions are a tool, not a failure

An extension moves the filing deadline, not the payment deadline. When information genuinely is not ready, extending and filing correctly beats filing on time and amending later. You will be told which situation you are in and what to pay in the meantime.

If the IRS writes to you

Notices happen and most are routine. Any notice tied to a return we prepared gets reviewed, explained in plain language, and answered.

Questions

Common questions

When is Form 990 due?
The fifteenth day of the fifth month after your fiscal year ends — May 15 for a December year end, November 15 for a June year end. Extensions are available and commonly used.
What happens if we miss a 990?
Penalties accrue daily, and three consecutive missed years cost your exempt status automatically. If you are behind, deal with it now rather than at the next deadline.
When should I get documents in?
For a March 15 business deadline, mid-February. For April 15 individual returns, early March. Later than that and we will likely extend — which is fine, but planned beats discovered.
Can you review a return someone else filed?
Yes. If something material turns up, you will get an honest read on whether amending actually makes financial sense — sometimes it does not.

Let's talk about where you are.

A discovery call, an honest read on what you need, and a fee agreed before any work starts.
